Sheik Mohammed Al Moudi Wins Libel Action Against Ethiopian Review Inc. and its Editor, Elias Kifle
According to court records, Sheik Mohammed Al Moudi won libel action for £180,000 or $271,126 USD against Elias Kifle and Ethiopian Review Inc. (a company incorporated in accordance with the laws of Florida).
The judgment rendered against Ethiopian Review and its editor, Elias Kifle, was a libel action for false allegation that Sheik Mohammed Al Moudi “ has been trafficking 45,000 Ethiopian women a month, apparently sold into slavery and abused in various ways. These allegations that are truly shocking and obviously seriously defamatory”.
This is the second time for Sheik Mohammed Al Moudi to win against Ethiopian Review and Elias Kifle. Last time, HHJ Parkes QC, in July 2011, awarded £175,000 to Sheik Mohammed Al Amoudi, for false allegation about Sheik Al Amoudi’s daughter, Sarah. Elias Kifle claimed on his website Ethiopian Review, Sarah was “facing a stoning in Saudi Arabia with the connivance of her father”, while she was in fact, a student living in England. The courts determined that claim by Ethiopian Review was quite untrue, and awarded Al Amoudi £175,000 in the first judgement.
